Love, experienced on the ego-plane is often bound to conditions. When one is spiritualy awake and experiencing love in its true essence, pure and true ralationships can be formed, whatever the kind. Love becomes Unconditional. Letting go of illusion, transending to higher truth. Through several symbols the story is conveyed.
Special paint effects give this painting that extra edge when light shines upon it. The halos for example on the heads of the four "guides" on the right are painted with gold paint, making them visible when light shines upon them.

Swans in the reed
2012This figurative painting shows a view through the reed where two swans can be seen enjoying each other's company. The painting is enriched with real feathers and little pieces of reed and flower with on some places patches of gold colored leaf metal and plaster relief. The swan is seen as a power animal and is a symbol for grace, commitment, inner beauty and balance. For the love goddess Venus the swan was sacred.

Trapped/Plato's cave
2011When a being is trapped, it may be that he doesn't realize this himself. The agony he endures, kept alive while he just has to turn his head to find that the liberation he so yearns for is just within a few feet away. Instead he keeps tormenting others out of frustration with his own situation. He only sees the shadows on the wall, contributing to worsen of his case. If he is able to let go of his ego, he can find himself again. Ironically he's already been found and cared for, shown by the silver string gently tight around his body.

Olmo Lung Ring

Tagzig Olmo Lung Ring is the non dualistic realm of the Tibetan Bon tradition, where peace and joy are all there is. In my painting I depict the journey toward non dualism. Below on the right you see the earthly world while on the top you see the goal to be achieved. But which way to travel upwards? Is it through the visible doorway? In reality the road which really leads you to enlightenment is the one that's not outlined. Olmo Lung Ring is the non-dualistic empire from the Bön tardition, which is the oldest spiritual Tibetan tradition.
